Rapper Okyeame Kwame is asking the Ghanaian government to think about getting a digital platform for the country.
He said this during a meeting with the Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture, Mohammed Awal at the Accra Tourist Information Centre on June 25, 2021.
According to Okyeame, if Ghana gets its own Facebook, Twitter and other digital platforms, all the investment that goes into their operation will stay in the country and help creative smake more money.
He said the foreign digital stores do not pay taxes for the Ghanaian government and also take a lot from artistes that patronise their platforms.
