Burna Boy has stoked fire! He is actually comparing South Africa rapper Nasty C to American rappers.
He has said in a recent interview that Nasty C is almost better than any American rapper.
When he was asked his opinion on Americans tagging all genres of African music as Afrobeat, he replied that Nasty C is a rapper, therefore his music should be classified as rap and not afrobeat.
He added that he’ll put his money on Nasty C over almost all American rappers.
In his words; ”Yeah, everything is not Afrobeats. Nasty C is a rapper. And because he’s from Africa now, you’re going to say Afrobeats? Nah, he’s a rapper. Brah, I’ll put my money on Nasty C over almost any American rapper.”
