Frank Owusu Kwabena (Franky5), the host of ‘This Is Gospel’ on Hitz FM was adjudged the winner of Gospel Radio/TV Show of the Year at the recently held National Gospel Music Awards.
Franky5 has for the past years used his platform to promote gospel musicians and elevate discussions bordering on the Kingdom of Christ.
His programme airs on Sundays on Hitz 103.9FM from 6 pm to 8 pm.
He told ghanaweekend.com he appreciates the award because it is a testament to the wondrous things God is using him to do for the Christian community.
“I’m empowered to do more for the industry after winning this award. I thank the organisers and all the people that rooted for me to win,” he said.
The 2020 Steaman Heights National Gospel Music Awards was held on Saturday, August 28, 2021.
The award ceremony took place at the Accra International Conference Centre.
It was sponsored by Steaman Heights, powered by Ghana Weekend, Rockson Ransford Hospital, MUSIGA, Jonab J. Services, New Life Homeopathic Clinic, Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards.
Some artistes that performed at the event were Jayana, KobbySalm, Sam Oladotun, Akesse Brempong and Carl Clottey.
The overall Gospel Artiste of the Year award was won by Diana Hamilton who beat off competition from Nacee, MOG, Akesse Brempong, Empress Gifty and Celestine Donkor.
