The Vice President, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, has made a donation to veteran actor Psalm Adjeteyfio who recently appealed to the public to help him pay his rent.
Psalm Adjeteyfio had said he needed GHS 3,000 to foot that bill or he’ll be ejected from the house.
Psalm Adjateyfio popularly known know as TT in the Taxi Driver television series fame told Emmanuel Agyemang in an interview on Step 1 TV that his impoverished situation is a result of poor working conditions during his days of acting.
According to him, most of the producers at that time cheated him. They did not give him his due. In fact, he said they stole his money.
The Vice President, upon seeing the video of the interview, asked his rep to contact the present Emmanuel Agyemang to help them connect to the actor.
According to the presenter, the President through the rep has presented GHS 30,000 to pay for the actor’s rent for five years.
He has also given him GHS 20,000 for his general upkeep.
According to the Psalm Adjeteyfio, who played the main character (TT) in the ‘Taxi Driver’ television series, he does not get acting roles at present.
And he does not do any other work, too.
He said his subsistence is hinged on the benevolence of people.
