Kumawood actor, Oboy Siki, aka Dada Santo, has revealed that popular actor, Kojo Nkansah (Lilwin)’s high status in the local movie industry has affected his charges to the extent that producers cannot afford his services.
In an interview with Zionfelix, the outspoken actor, commended Lilwin for investing in his own production company while at the peak of his career, adding that through that, the actor has been able to avoid being sidelined by industry actors including directors and producers.
He explained that akin to other industries, Kumawood is characterised by varying degrees of stardom, which over the years has been championed by comic actors, Agya Koo, Kwaku Manu, and Kojo Nkansah.
He revealed that film producers are currently taking advantage of the recent surge in popularity of comedian, Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi aka Dr. Likee, to cash in via video streaming platform, YouTube.
The veteran actor added that even though Dr. Likee’s switch from gangster roles to comedy has catapulted him to a higher level in the industry, the actor continues to maintain comparatively lower charges, making him the favourite among current producers.
