It is no doubt that for the past ten years, Sarkodie has been the most relevant Ghanaian musician. However, the rapper’s biggest breakthrough came in the year 2010 when his album, Makye, won several honours at the Ghana Music Awards which was held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
