For those who are worried that Nigerian music is taking over the Ghanaian music space, there is a reason to smile.
Kuami Eugene in a recent tweet has vowed to dislodge all foreign songs in Ghana with hit songs he is yet to release.
“That’s the main reason why I’ve been quiet for some time now. Give me now till December. I will flood the system so bad, there will be no room for foreign music. That’s if our very own people don’t fight it as usual,” he wrote.
This was in a response to a tweet by a social media user who attributed the domination of foreign music to Kuami Eugene not releasing any more songs.
“Ghana music industry is gradually going down again & Nigeria music is gaining grounds coz of TikTok & Kuami Eugene has stopped dropping bangers. I’m not one of his cult fans but boy has held the industry in resent time & it’s a Fact. @KuamiEugene we beg drop something & save GH,” the tweep wrote.
About a week ago, D-Black reignited the issue of Ghanaians consuming too much Nigerian music after he shared Ghana’s Top 20 Apple Music chart which had about 17 Nigerian songs.
