Singer, Becca, has said in an interview with Quophi Okyeame that she wished she had read her contract with Kiki Banson well before signing a deal with him.
According to her, even though Kiki helped her career, things could have gotten better.
“I think I saw my money, but I believe that I could have seen more,” she noted.
“There was a contract, and I was given the opportunity to read through it, but at that time it was not about the contract. It was about fulfilling my heart desire – that is music,” she said.
She, therefore, advised the up-and-coming artistes to pay attention to details in their contracts.
“I would have advised anybody to actually read contracts properly and then see anything in there in terms of duration and all those things, so you can have a better and bigger say in certain things more. I keep appreciating my former management because I think they did a good job. However, like I say, there is more room for improvement,” Becca said.
Becca was signed to Kiki Banson’s EKB Records for about ten years before severing their work relationship in 2015.
Becca has songs such as ‘You lied to Me’, ‘No Away’, ‘Woman’, ‘Yes I Do’, among others.
