Ghanaian actor Oboy Siki is in the news again for the wrong reasons.
The actor known for his roles in Kumawood movies has said in an interview with Delay on Delay TV that the acting job does not pay so he would not encourage any of his nine children to venture into it.
“I don’t want any of my children to do the kind of work that I do. I’ll kill any of them who tries to get into acting,” he said.
He however said even though he would allow them to do what they want, they are barred from having anything to do with the film-making job.
It is not clear if he was speaking literally or figuratively but his comment comes on the back of recent concerns raised by people who think creative artists do not earn enough money’ a reason most of them die paupers or end up begging for money in their old age.
