Reggae/dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, says singing about the conditions of people in his community, helped him to get his name on the global stage.
His 2015 song, “Run Go,” according to him, gained him widespread popularity overseas with the lyrics “Show me where we gonna run go, after making our land a bitter place to live…”

Stonebwoy was speaking to Bernard Avle on a special edition of Citi TV’s Point of View show.
The 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year also spoke about his musical influences and green activism.
Stonebwoy’s recently-released song, titled, Greedy Men, talks about corruption at various levels in society with a focus on illegal mining and its impact on the environment.
The release of the music video also coincides with the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) which is ongoing in Glasgow, Scotland.
