Kuami Eugene, who has on many occasions been accused of music theft, seems unfazed by such comments.
Speaking on Adom TV, he said all those accusing him of stealing their songs just want to tap into his greatness.
He explained that anytime he releases a song, people intentionally drop songs that bear little likeness to his, just to tarnish his image.
“Have pity on anyone who accuses me of stealing their songs. Regardless, I have been able to make countless hits. Most times those who make those accusations don’t even have three hit songs,” he said.
The ‘Bunker’ singer said that the practice has become normal to him that anytime he records a new song, the entire team in the studio could pre-empt what people will say after its release.
A few months ago, Kuami Eugene’s management had to pay damages to Roland Acquah, a producer of the late Seth Frimpong’s ‘Okumchola’ for using it without permission.
