Musician and entertainment analyst, Kwame A-Plus, has explained the omission of Reggie Rockstone from the list of participants of the November 10, 2021 meeting held between entertainers and the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Dampare.
A-Plus, speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, explained that the organizing team made a mistake by not sending an invitation to the veteran rapper.
A-Plus, together with Socrates Sarfo and Abeiku Santana were in charge of invitations to the meeting. He said, the omission was purely an oversight on their part and not an action out of malice.
Reggie Rockstone had expressed displeasure about the way he is treated in the entertainment industry after his wife, Zilla Limann raised concerns about his exclusion from the security meeting.
According to Reggie Rockstone, who is widely regarded as the originator of hiplife music, he has not been accorded the recognition he deserves on the national level despite his high credentials in the country’s showbiz industry.
Reggie even cited an example of the 2008 National Honours, where over 200 personalities (including showbiz personalities) were awarded by the then-president John Agyekum Kufuor without his inclusion.
