Nigerian actress Joke Silva has broken silence on the health status of her husband, Olu Jacobs.
She recently revealed in an interview with Chude that her husband is suffering from Lewy bodies dementia.
Lewy body dementia is a type of progressive dementia that leads to a decline in thinking, reasoning and independent function because of abnormal microscopic deposits that damage brain cells over time.
According to her, “This has been going on for a couple of years.
She expressed that it had been hard on her husband because he did not understand what was going on and it had been tough also for the family members.
On several occasions, Joke Silva and her family had to come out to dispel rumours of the death of the veteran Nigerian actor.
Olu Jacobs is known for his roles in movies such as Ashanti, The Dogs of War, Dry, among others.
