Veteran Nollywood actor and movie producer, Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo, aka RMD has expressed gratitude to his fans in Ghana whom he says make him feel at home every time he visits the country.
According to RMD, he considers Ghana as a second home as Ghanaians have always show him love and support throughout his career in acting.
Together with the veteran highlife musician, Pat Thomas, RMD, who is also a lawyer, was presented with a special ‘Black Star Honour’ award in recognition of his contribution to the creative arts industry at the 2021 Rhythms On Da Runway 2021.
According to the organizers, Nineteen57 Events, the award is intended to celebrate excellence and significant contributions to the promotion of show industry in Ghana and Africa.
The 2021 edition of Rhythms On Da Runway was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) under the theme, The Masquerade, to promote the wearing of face masks for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.
This year’s edition included a broader group of artists and innovative creations from around Africa and the African diaspora.
Senyo Foli, Katie O, Neyomi, MUDI, Jesu Segun, Nadrey Laurent, Pernia Couture, Nineteen57, Gloria Sarfo, and Attoh Andoh were among the well-known designers whose works were on display.
The night’s music performers were Abiana, Adina, Elsie Duncan Williams, Epixode, D-Black, Sefa, Floewe (Eswantini), Efya, Michael Stuckey, Afriyie Wutah, Kidi, and Samini.
