The Accra Circuit Court 4 has adjourned the case involving dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale to January 25, 2022.
This comes after his lawyer, Jerry Avenorgbo appealed to the court to grant Shatta Wale the opportunity to attend some programmes and perform at others outside the country during the Christmas period.
Shatta Wale was arrested on October 19, 2021, for faking a gunshot attack on him and was subsequently charged with causing fear and panic and false publication of news.
In a related development, the lawyer for Hiplife artiste, Samuel Frimpong also known as Medikal, Pobbi Banson also prayed the court to adjourn proceedings to January 25, 2022 since his client would also be on trips to perform at events during Christmas.
Medikal was arrested for brandishing a weapon in a video on social media and subsequently charged with displaying arms and ammunition.
The court presided over by Emmanuel Essandoh granted both requests and adjourned sittings to January 25, 2022 for the two separate cases. The lawyer for dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Jerry Avenorgbo spoke to journalists after proceedings.
