Comedy lovers had a great experience at OB Amponsah’s ‘Popular but Broke’ comedy show last Saturday, November 11, 2021, at the National Theatre.
The programme was also interlaced with music performances by ShugaLord and Ghanaian crooner Kwabena Kwabena.

There was a line-up of new school comedy acts who did not disappoint in cracking up the patrons.
James Brown, Ranzy Ray, Tee Kay, Jerry, Kojo Pjay and Ohjoo, were at their comic best on the night.
Lekzy DeComic kept patrons asking for more when he dropped his hilarious jokes, especially the one on award presenters.
Gracing the show was veteran comedian and politician Fritz Baffour, who proved that he had not lost his steam even after years of being absent from the comedy stage.
Fritz Baffour still got it! Old comedian never dies 🤣🤣🤣🤣#PopularButBroke #GhanaWeekend pic.twitter.com/v1i2A0V5fA

OB Amponsah finally took the stage to tell jokes on politics, COVID-19, being popular but broke, among other themes.
His entrance was epic; he appeared from the underground, with a poetic intro by Akambo.
Although most of his materials were X-rated, he was careful not to outstep his bounds. He was on stage for about one hour, leaving patrons with no option but to laugh their hearts out.
