Businessman, Ernest Ofori Sarpong, has met members of this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) team of Presbyterian Boys Secondary School (PRESEC) at his residence in Accra.
The owner of Special Ice Limited who is also the Global President of the alumni group, PRESEC Old Boys Association, promised to fund a trip for 6 members of the team to a yet to be decided country.
Mr. Ofori Sarpong also pledged to finance the tertiary education of Henry Mawunya Otumfuo, a member of the quiz team who was widely hailed for his exceptional performance in the school’s 2021 campaign to the grand finale which they lost to Prempeh College in Kumasi.
PRESEC (Legon) has won the NSMQ 6 times since its establishment in 1993, making it the most successful school in the history of the competition.
