Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy, has expressed regret over the manner he responded to Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, who had earlier made hostile statements against Nigerian artistes during his December 25th ‘Freedom Concert’ held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to Burna Boy, it is not his nature to engage in hostilities on social media, and thus he apologizes to his fans for getting involved with Shatta Wale after the latter blatantly insulted his country.
He described the situation as “fighting with a pig,” and added that he will no longer continue on that course.
I’M SORRY EVERYONE. I DON’T DO THIS TYPE OF SHIT. FIGHTING A PIG WILL ONLY LEAVE YOU DIRTY, THE PIG IS USED TO DIRT. I REALLY LET THIS PIG GET TO ME. BUT I PROMISE. THIS IS THE LAST TIME I WILL EVER ALLOW MYSELF STOOP TO THIS LEVEL.
I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE
I WILL NOT BE SEEING SOCIAL MEDIA AT ALL THIS YEAR. I’M OUT. SEE YOU ALL IN REAL LIFE.
