Fally Ipupa, a Congolese musician, performed at the opening of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament at the Olembe Stadium in Yaounde, Cameroon.
Fally Ipupa put up a spectacular performance with support from his dancers, who came through with a well-choreographed act to match.
The 33rd AFCON kicked off today, 9th January 2022 in the Cameroon capital of Yaounde following the postponement of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations last year due to the covid pandemic.
The tournament will be played in six venues in Cameroon: Yaounde: Olembe Stadium and Stade Ahmadou Ahido, in Douala’s Japoma Stadium.
The Roumde Adija stadium in Garoua along with the 20,000 capacity Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam will also stage games, as will the troubled city of Limbe where games will go ahead at the Limbe Stadium.
The one-time Grammy-nominated artiste has won awards at the MTV Africa Music Awards, BET Awards, among others.
