Veteran music producer, Appietus, has shared an interesting story of how a visit by highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, changed his mother’s perception about him, instantly making her a believer in his talent as a music producer.
Appietus, in an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM, stated that prior to Daddy Lumba’s visit to his father’s house, where his studio was located, his mother did not believe in his talent and credentials in the music industry.
According to him, even though he had already worked with top artistes in the music industry such as Ofori Amponsah, and produced several hits in the 2000s, his mother only saw him as a braggart.
He said, everything changed when Daddy Lumba visited and told his mother that he was working with her son, to which she proudly responded: “Appiah is my own child.”
