Singer, Mzbel, says she will organize a big funeral for her late father, Albert Amoah, whose death was announced on Thursday, January 27th 2022 and laid to rest barely 24 hours afterwards.
According to Mzbel, even though his father was a Muslim and buried according to Islamic customs, she will proceed to honour him with a traditional ceremony in line with his ancestral heritage as an Akan.
Mzbel made the announcement via her Instagram handle, adding that she has the backing of her uncle, who lives in Manchester in the United Kingdom (UK).
She said her father’s brother has agreed to the observance of a one-week memorial service and subsequent funeral ceremonies in the UK and Ghana.

She explained that she had to make an urgent decision or risk missing her father’s burial if she delayed because her father was a Muslim and could be buried the next day in accordance with Islamic tradition.
