Prince Bright, one-half of the defunct hiplife group, Buk Bak, has recounted how eager some people were to replace his partner Ronnie when he passed away in 2013.
Bright told Graphic Showbiz in an interview that he had had a lot of musicians approaching him to partner him, but he turned them down because Ronnie is irreplaceable.
“Truth be told, I have had requests from a number of talented musicians who want to partner me and start the whole Buk Bak thing again, but I always decline because no one can replace Ronnie Coaches.”
“Also, because of the respect I have for him, I just don’t want to go in for anyone. But then if any musician wants a collaboration with me as I did with Sarkodie on Oofeetso, I am always available,” he said.
Ronnie of Buk Bak passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013.
Some hit songs he did with Bright in the group include ‘Gonja Barracks’, ‘Klu Blofo’, ‘Trotro’, among others.
