American-based Ghanaian comedian, Michael Blackson, has begun an ambitious campaign to build a film studio in Ghana with funding from Oscar winning movie producer, Tyler Perry.
Blackson, made an appeal to Tyler Perry, in a Twitter post on February 16, 2022, offering land for the project.
Born in 1969, Tyler Perry is an actor and film producer who is popular for acting the controversial character, Madea.
His company, Tyler Perry Studios (TPS) in Atlanta, Georgia, was founded in 2006 and known for producing popular films such as Meet The Browns, Madea Homecoming and Acrimony.
