Mental health advocate, Abena Korkor, has released her own version of the iconic Akwaaba photo, which is popularly associated with Ghanaian hospitality.
While Abena’s pose, in traditional Akan (Krobo) costume, has attracted high praises from her followers on Instagram, others have decided to troll her with her recent weight gain.
The popular Akwaaba picture was produced in 1999 with a 19-year-old model called Angelina Oduro.
The photo has since become one of the most iconic images in Ghana, visible in offices and gift centres across the country.
