Gyakie has spoken about her mother’s influence and contribution towards the development of her career as an artist.
According to her, she was made to perform for guests who visited her mother.
She disclosed her mother’s contribution in a tweet:

Gyakie, whose father is legendary Ghanaian hihglife musician, Nana Acheampong, has had tremendous success since her song, Forever, became an international hit.
The remix of the song, featuring Nigerian singer, Omah Lay, has hit over 25 million views on YouTube in 10 months.
She was featured on the 2021 BET Africa Soul Cypher.
