After its first year of operating in Ghana, Spotify, has released statistics on the various categories for the most streamed music by users of the app.
In a press statement to mark the milestone, the company stated that its one-year anniversary in Sub-Saharan Africa is a win for Ghana’s music industry.
The statement added that while there has been a 22.28% increase in new local songs on the platform, Ghanaian Afropop has also enjoyed a 160% growth in the United States over the past year.
