Highlife singer, Lucky Mensah, says Ghanaians should desist from criticizing President Akufo-Addo until his tenure ends in 2025.
Speaking in an interview with Obibini TV, Lucky Mensah, who released a satirical song titled ‘Nkratuo’ apparently to criticize the late President John Evans Atta-Mills barely a year after he was elected into office, said Ghanaians should be patient and wait till the current president hands over power before judging him.
Lucky Mensah, who had previously campaigned against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2008 added that he made a U-turn to join their candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo’s campaign team 8 years later, simply because he loved Nana Addo.
“So, if you think Nana Akufo-Addo is not performing, let him finish his tenure and then make an evaluation.”
“Ghanaians should wait till he is finished before comparing him to other presidents.”
“Ghana is not the only nation facing high fuel prices. Fuel price increases on the international market would surely affect Ghana, as all Ghanaian politicians are aware.”
He praised President Akufo-Addo for his efforts in addressing the energy crisis, popularly known as “dumsor.”
According to him, President Akufo-Addo is on a mission to transform Ghana and accelerate its development for the benefit of all.
