Actress Efia Odo revealed the circumstances that influenced her decision not to join protesters on the streets for the #FixTheCountry demonstrations held in Accra on August 4, 2021.

Efia Odo, in an interview with DJ Andy Dosty said she only decided to step back after receiving several messages from strange social media accounts warning asking her to stop protesting against the government.

She disclosed that, she received so many threats and had to exempt herself from the demonstration because she was not ready to face the consequenses.

“I am not ready to die for Ghana. Ghanaians are not worth dying for, and that is why I did not go for the demonstration. I will love to help them, though.”

She stated that her mother was so frightened for her safety that she persuaded her to withdraw from the demonstration.

“My mum asked me not to go. I always listen to her when it comes to issues like these.”
