Radio and TV personality, Babiee Dapaah, has fired back at some people criticising her style of presentation when she hosted ‘Hot Gossip’ on TV3 about 10 years ago.
The recent bashing she is receiving comes on the back of an interview media personality Caroline Sampson had with Naa Ashorkor on Asaase Radio.
In the interview, Caroline recounted how a story Babiee did about her on not having a father for her son, discouraged her from doing media work.
Caroline said, even though she liked Babiee’s programme and admits she was doing her job, that story really got to her.
Not pleased with Babiee’’s approach, Abigail Obenewaah Asiedu, a Facebook user, described the words used by Babiee on that show as “foolish.”
“That was very foolish to come from a fellow woman.
It wasn’t about her doing her job, she could have just mentioned the pregnancy, congratulated her & moved on.
U don’t ridicule your fellow woman because she’s pregnant “onim ne ba no papa” is very foolish to come from a woman, no matter how we try to decorate it.
Aaah!
How can u say this to someone who hasn’t asked u for money for ANC?
But as usual people will see nothing wrong with it & classify it as entertainment.
There are several ways to address issues but to publicly ridicule your fellow woman because she’s pregnant is totally absurd!” Abigail left the comment on Kwame Dadzie’s post.

Replying to Abigail Obenewaah Asiedu’s comment, Babiee replied: “On my show we alledged everything even if we knew truth or was present.”
She added: “Coming from a woman who was not there, never heard and saw. And don’t know if it’s true, you really have a lot to say..
My name is Babiee Dappah, I’m not petty and praise petty lies. I smile always. I speak less if not at all on lots that are assumed. Partially because I hosted a gossip show: the first best gossip show
So I understand.
And trust me, the core was highly to promote the industry and not run it down as you see today.
If we all were to explain incidents, I’m sure you’d have more to address…
Good energy you have, try curiosity.. but don’t get killed by it. Cc. Kwame Dadzie”
Babiee has, in the past, hosted shows like TV3 Hot Gossip, TV3 Mentor Season 7, Guys’ Avenue, Agoro and Quickie on Metro TV.
She has also had stints with Vibe FM, Adinkra Radio and YFM.
She is currently a morning show presenter at Max TV.
