After two years of court injunctions and postponements, the Board elections for GHAMRO have been held.
The elections took place in ten different centres across the country on March 15, 2022.
The officers were elected from four fields that make up the organisation: composers, publishers, performers and producers.
The newly-elected GHAMRO Board Members are Diana Hopeson, Rex Omar, Kofi Abraham, Francis Omari Adofo, Elizabeth Tagoe, Yaw Agyemang Badu and Francis Boahen.

The 7 member board will then have to meet and elect a Board Chairperson.
So far, Rex Omar is the only one who has publicly declared his intention to lead the board again.
Apart from its internal wrangling, the Ghana Music Rights Organisation has been heavily criticized for not being effective in delivering its mandate.
However, the CMO has reiterated in recent times that is it bent on putting in place more efficient modalities in the collection and distribution of royalties for its members.
