Blakk Rasta, says Ghanaian award schemes , including the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), have lost their credibility over the years and thus have become fraudulent.
The VGMA has come under fire following the official release of the list of nominees on March 19, 2022.
According to the reggae music star and former host of Zylofon FM’s drive time show, award shows have generally transformed over the years as a result of some the selfish interests of some industry stakeholders.
He stated that voting for awards is pointless and that there may be other options.
In a recent interview with Abeiku Santana, the ‘Barack Obama’ hitmaker stated that, to his knowledge, all award schemes in the country have been proven to be bogus.
