Funny Face has recounted the ordeal he went through to fuel a Range Rover car that was gifted to him by his footballer friend Emmanuel Adebayor in 2012.
He said at that time he did not earn so much money, but he was so happy to have gotten the car and wanted to please people by drawing money from his account to cater for the car.
“Living to impress people is very wrong. Making people believe that you have when you don’t is very wrong, and is affecting most of the youth. At that time, I was starring in ‘Chorkor Trotro’ but it was very expensive to maintain the car. I heard people say I could not buy fuel for the car, so I went into my account, took money just to prove to people I could handle the car,” he said.
According to the comedian, it got to a time, the account went low with cash, so he started reducing the quantity of fuel he bought.
That was not the first time Adebayor had gifted a car to Funny Face. In 2020, Funny Face announced that his friend had given him a Porsche Panamera.
