Citi FM/TV journalist, Uhuru Sanda Amadu, has helped to secure admission for a young girl who was being forced into an early marriage.
In a Facebook post, Umuru revealed how he rescued the 13-year-old and how she is faring after enrolling in Tema Secondary School.
He shared the good news on Facebook:
“You remember the Sadia we saved from forced early marriage at age 13? Well, she’s made it to the prestigious Tema Secondary School. I know she’ll excel here too.
And she has a companion in my nephew and namesake who is the first member of my family to gain admission to Temasco since I did in 2003.
Kudos to all who helped Sadia, especially the Prampram based @kinderparadiseghana which is giving her all the financial support.”
