Veteran hiplife artiste, Slim Busterr, says older artistes have a lot to offer the new generation of musicians to help them avoid mistakes and become successful in the industry.
The singer said in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that new musicians can learn a lot from veterans like him because of their expertise and impact in the country’s music business.
Older artists have always been willing to mentor newer artists, according to the renowned dancer, but they appear to be uninterested.
“I do Facebook live and I have said this same thing over and over but nothing has changed. The young ones have completely ignored the older ones and are going about their craft without care,” the ‘Masherita’ singer said.
He stated that the new artists have taken lots of decisions in the industry that do not sell.
“I hope that things will change and there will be more collaboration between the young and older ones. It does not necessarily have to be collaboration but it will be great if they come to us for advice concerning their craft. As I said earlier, we are more experienced and have so much to offer them whether they like it or not,” he stated.
