Gospel musician, Empress Gifty has advised married couples to respect the privacy of their partners to avoid unnecessary quarrels which can lead to divorce.
Empress Gifty, who has been married to politician, Hopeson Adorye, for the past 3 years, says most conflicts at homes can be avoided if individuals consider their partners’ phones as private possessions which cannot be accessed without permission.
She revealed in an interview with Abeiku Santana that the respect is mutual as her husband also doesn’t touch hers too.
According to her, respecting each other’s privacy in marriage brings peace to prevail in homes. She says it is the application of “wisdom in marriage.”
“In marriage, there is something called privacy. There’s privacy in marriage, but people don’t know. That thing we call a phone is private. Let me explain it to you. Today, a phone has caused someone to be disabled because she was chasing her husband around due to unnecessary suspicion.”
She continued, “Not that I don’t trust my husband, but I know he can make mistakes because he’s human. He is not the holy ghost. There are certain things that fastings will not solve. Prayer answers all things, but sometimes you need to apply wisdom.”
