Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong and businessman, Nana Kwame Bediako paid GHS 100,000 and GHS 50,000 respectively to purchase the book Asamoah Gyan’s autobiography which was launched on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.
The book titled ‘LeGyandary’ takes readers through the former Black Star captain’s early days and his rise to fame as arguably Ghana’s greatest-ever.

The book also gives a more detailed account of Gyan’s relationships with his contemporaries as well as other notable personalities throughout his career.
Among the dignitaries who attended the event were President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and Kennedy Agyapong.

Former Senegal and Liverpool FC striker, El Hadji Diouf and the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe were also present to grace the occasion.
In his speech, Asamoah Gyan, urged young people to take inspiration from his experiences and do their best to become useful citizens.
