Anybody who intends to book Stonebwoy for a show should be ready to pay him more than before.
According to the Bhim Nation President, his new deal with Universal Music Group has added value to his brand.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Movenpick Hotel on Thursday, May 5, 2022, he said the media should forgive him if he gets a bit cocky henceforth because he has really toiled to get to where he is now.
He also intimated that his fees have increased by 50%.
“Now, at this time, I am under pressure. I have so many things to do. Right now, only my wife will message me and will get me at the right time. It is all work. If you know anybody around that you want to reach out to, you can reach out to them. They will find a way to get you to me. But the price is a 50% increment,” he said.
He quipped that the charges have gotten up, also because of e-levy.
The Universal Music Group (UMG) label divisions Def Jam Recordings, 0207 Def Jam, and Def Jam Africa released Stonebwoy’s first single ‘Therapy’ on May 3, 2022.
This comes after signing to their label, Stonebwoy, one of Ghana’s topmost artistes.
According to the Universal Music Group executives, they have a deal to produce three of Stonebwoy’s albums, subjective to extensions.
