There were exhibition of clothes, food and a mix of music, theatre, poetry, dance, among others.

The programme showcased Africa’s diversity in culture through the various art forms.

The week-long activities for this year started on Saturday, May 7, 2022, with an opening night gala.
This was followed by a runway show on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
On Monday, May 9, 2022, a session was held for young filmmakers in the industry.
On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, a panel of digital content creators including Macaroni and Kiekie had a discussion on how to have a mutual partnership with MultiChoice platforms and how to use their crafts to affect society.
Other activities for this year’s awards event are Content Marketing Workshop, nominees gala and the main award ceremony on Saturday, May 14, 2022.
Nigerian media personality, IK Osakioduwa, returns this year to host the award show with South Africa’s media darling, Bonang Matheba, who will be making her hosting debut at the AMVCAs.
