Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson, has spoken about how men find it difficult to propose to successful women.
On UTV’s ‘United Showbiz’, she said even when she tells some men she meets that she loves them, they don’t believe it.
“In relationships in Ghana, a man wants to come across as being better than the woman. Sometimes you tell them you want to go to school, and they tell you that you don’t need that,” she said.
Yvonne recounted an instance when a certain guy asked how she was able to build her house. She said she felt insulted because she had been working hard and did not understand why a man would think she could provide things for himself.
Yvonne Nelson is widely known to have been in a relationship with Nigerian artiste Inyanya, and the father of her daughter, Jamie Roberts.
