Sixteen beautiful girls have been selected from all the Regions of Ghana to contest in the maiden edition of Miss Grand Ghana scheduled to take place at the National Theatre come Friday July 8.
Put together by Ghanaian international model Abena Akuaba Appiah, the 16 ladies were selected through a stiff competition organised some months ago.
The 16 ladies are Judith Adjei, Keziah, Priscilla Awagah, Miriam Ajasa, Winifred Sam, Mary Animpong, Angela Dorla Zegblah and Pricilla Fombon.
The rest are Ezta Mawutor, Regina Ampofowa, Josephine Adjo Gokah and Mariama Musah
The ultimate winner will fly to Indonesia on October 25 to represent Ghana in the Miss Grand International.
Miss Grand Ghana aims to builds up confidence, elegance, eleoquence, poise and intelligence in our women.
Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Abena Akuaba said it was difficult selecting 16 girls from 50 talented girls who auditioned for the show.
According to her the pageant will award other areas like Miss Talent, Miss Congeniality, Miss Fitness among others.
Talking about whys she decided to organise the show, Abena said “ her mission is to empower young Ghanaian women to break barriers and become writers of their own story.
Abena has won national titles such as Miss Grand United States, Miss World NewYork, Queen Beauty Universe Ghana, Miss Earth Ghana and Top Model Ghana
