The East Legon Police station has reportedly invited dancehall musician, Stonebwoy over an incident involving popular real estate agent, Derick Appiah, who accused the singer of threatening his life.
Stonebwoy, who was one of the main performers at the Afrobeats Festival held over the weekend in Berlin, Germany, might be represented by his lawyers since he is out of the country.
Mr. Appiah, in an interview last week, accused Stonebwoy of threatening to kill him after he demanded his percentage of a deal he orchestrated for him.
The real estate developer also mentioned that when he reported the case to the East Legon police station, they failed to help him, claiming they cannot arrest Stonebwoy without a court order.
It was later reported that the police invited Mr. Appiah first, arrested him and granted him bail.
The police reportedly have also invited the blogger who interviewed Mr. Appiah to assist in the investigation, but he was not available in the country at the time.
Attractive Mustapha is currently in the United Kingdom.
According to Mr. Appiah, he has been doing good business with artists and helping celebrities to get their own houses.
When asked about his relationship with Stonebwoy, he revealed that Stonebwoy threatened to kill him due to a disagreement over money.
“I rented a house to him peacefully and afterward sold his current place of residence to him in 2019.
“As part of the agreement, Stonebwoy was supposed to pay me 5% out of $440,000 as a commission, but he refused to fulfil his part of the agreement by first reducing the agent fee from 5% to 2% which is $8,800.
“Instead of giving me the 2% $8800, he gave me $500, so I returned the money to him and asked him to pay my money in full because it was supposed to be 5% but for peace’s sake, I reluctantly agreed to take the 2%.
“Again, Stonebwoy decided to give me $500 instead of the 2% exactly and told me that if I don’t take the $500 he won’t give me any additional money.
“So I replied that when they contacted me to search for a house for them to buy, I was initially dealing with his wife and not him. He then angrily told me that if I mention his wife’s name again, it will be grave and prison,” Derrick Appiah stated.
Mr. Appiah said he reported Stonebwoy’s threat to the East Legon Police station, but the police failed to take action.
In 2019, Stonebwoy was invited by the police after he pulled a firearm on stage at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
