Gospel singer, Quame Gyedu has been crowned the Songwriter of the Year at the just-ended Ghana National Gospel Music Awards (GNGMA).
Other nominees in the top category were Diana Hamilton, MOG, Akesse Brempong, Ruth Adjei, Carl Clottey, Perez Music, Celestine Donkor and Magnus.
To the fans of Quame Gyedu, it does not come as a surprise because he is noted as a prolific songwriter.
Quame has popular songs such as W’adom, Edin Jesus ft. Efe Grace, I win, Nkwagye, and W’ahoɔden.
In his acceptance speech, he reiterated his commitment as a Christian, leaving with the statement,” I belong to Jesus.”
