Popular Ghanaian artiste manager and entertainment pundit, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson aka Bulldog has advised young artists to look for proper management or risk fading away.
According to him, being talented alone is not enough for an artist to succeed, and that no matter how good a musician is, he or she will not be able to reach full potential if there is a lack of a system for management.
The former manager of popular artist, Shatta Wale, urged musicians said talent and management go hand in hand for an artist to succeed.
“Talent in a way can be a problem for people. If you do not meet someone who can manage it well for you, it can overwhelm you,” he stated.
Bulldog made the statement on Hitz FM.
With over 10 years experience in artist management, Bulldog was the long-time manager for controversial Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale.
The two were rumoured to have parted ways in late 2021.
Speaking on the issue in an interview on 3FM this year, Bulldog confirmed that the speculation is true and that he no longer manages Shatta Wale.
On why he never said it publicly, he told the host: “because when I started working with him, no one wrote a story so why should the separation be announced? … if we are no longer together why should we come and announce it?“
He however, stated that their separation doesn’t mean that they are now enemies.
