Wendy Shay has lauded Nigerian artistes for spearheading efforts to popularize African music on the world stage.
The artist, who is currently promoting her new project, Enigma, thinks Nigerians brought the world’s attention to pop music in Africa referred to as Afrobeats.
“Ghanaian artistes should thank Nigerian artistes for bringing the world’s attention to Africa … through Afrobeats,” she tweeted.
Wendy Shay is making waves internationally with her new single, Survivor, which speaks against domestic abuse.
According to her, Survivor, was inspired by the death of Nigerian gospel singer, Osinachi, who allegedly died from domestic abuse.
Wendy Shay’s Enigma EP is set for release on October 21, 2022.
