Senegalese-born Italian TikTok star, Khabane “Khaby” Lame has become one of the first multi-millionaires on the popular app.
This comes as no surprise as some Ghanaian content creators on the video sharing app have confirmed how they are making relatively huge amounts by simply posting content.
Khaby’s TikTok likes, earns $750,000 per TikTok post, and is reportedly on track to make $10 million this year.
Lame is also spending hours learning English by watching animated series to achieve a dream of casting in a Hollywood movie.
Lame’s wordless videos have garnered millions of followers, and in June of 2022, he surpassed Charli D’Amelio to become the most-followed TikToker in the world.
The 22-year-old influencer with 149.5 million TikTok followers spends 3 hours a day learning English.
In May, this year, popular Ghanaian social media influencer, Janet Offei aka Erkuah Official, disclosed that she has made over GHS200,000 from Tiktok since she joined the video sharing app two years ago.
Erkuah Official is Ghana’s most followed Tiktoker, with over 2.3 million followers who like her funny skits and dance videos.
She spoke about her revenue during an interview on the ‘Delay Show,’ adding that she is currently a second year Political Science student in the University of Ghana, Legon.
According to her, aside the money she makes on the platform, she has also benefited immensely from opportunities through her interactions with her followers and brands.
She said, the highest amount of money she has made so far from a single brand deal is GHS 30,000.
