Popular Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, has been given a chieftancy title in Ghana.
The ceremony took place during the 10th traditional Yam Festival held in Accra, Ghana by the Igbo community.
The actor was given the title of, ‘Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo” by Her Royal Highness, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu.
Dr. Ihenetu explained that the actor was recognised for his achievements and contributions to the African entertainment industry and the Igbo people.
During the 2018 Yam Festival, a number of Nigerian celebrities including music star D’banj, actor, Alex Ekubo and reality TV star, Teddy A, were conferred with chieftaincy titles.
