Blakk Rasta has left Class FM barely 4 months after he joined the station.
According to Media General (MG), the veteran musician and reggae show host has landed a deal with them.
The company has since published an official flyer to welcome the Black Rasta to MG, which has stations such as TV3, 3FM and Onua FM.
Blakk Rasta himself made the announcement on Twitter on October 8, stating that Class FM gave him his biggest pay cheque in his entire career.
In June this year, Blakk Rasta revealed to blogger Attrative Mustapha that his move to Accra-based Class Media was backed by a 2-year renewable contract in which his monthly salary was GHS15,000.
“All I said was that years ago my standard was Ghc10,000.00 and this time round I said I will not accept 10,000 because I have improved and become better”.
“We are going to have wisdom on the mountain and African history class but it is obvious things are going to be different from what people know me for”.
Blakk Rasta moved to Class FM barely a month after he said that he would not take less than GHS15,000 as monthly salary if he was to return to radio.
He made the statement on Citi TV’s Upside-Down show, aired on May 1, 2022, adding that his last salary in 2017 was GHS 10,000.
