Camidoh has joined the long list of super-talented singers who have embarrassed themselves on stage by fumbling with their own lyrics.
The 28-year-old had a disaster of a performance during his recent live TV performance at 3MusicTV.
A video circulating on social media shows the Ghanaian superstar struggling to sing his own ‘Sugarcane’, a “yawa” he accepted and subsequently rendered an apology to viewers for.
Sugarcane (remix) remains Camidoh’s biggest song in his career, having reached the Number 1 spot on Nigeria’s Apple Music Chart.
The song, featuring fellow Ghanaian singer, King Promise, as well as Nigeria’s Mayorkun and Darkoo, peaked at Number 1 on Nigeria’s Top 100 Music Chart on Apple Music in the first week of May, barely a month after its release.
The original version of Sugarcane, released in December 2021, chalked groundbreaking success in the digital music space, reaching number 5 on Shazam’s top 200 most searched Afropop songs.
Known in private life as Raphael Kofi Attachie, Camidoh is also a rapper and a record producer.
