Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) Legon held a procession to welcome its 2022 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) winners to the school on 28th November 2022.

The students, John Anim Tenkorang, Alfred Ken Nsiah, and Austin, represented the school in this year’s 2022 National Science and Maths quiz organised by Prime Time Limited, were given a rousing welcome as they were driven to the school by their Board Chairman, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong.

The keenly contested quiz saw Presec Legon pull a surprise by beating its arch-rivals Prempeh College and Adisadel Colleges respectively.

Speaking at the programme after the trophy was handed over to the headmaster of the school, Mr. David Odjidja noted that Presec Legon is a school of excellence and that they have worked hard for this remarkable feat.

He intimated that the ‘Seven a Living God’ Mantra does not only mean that they’ve won the contest for the seventh time, it also meant that they are poised to win their eighth trophy to enable them ‘Celebr8t’ in the 2023 contest, God willing.

The Board Chairman of the school, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong noted that he was heartbroken when the school lost the contest last year, and he vowed to give his utmost support to the team to win this year’s contest.

He seized the opportunity to thank all stakeholders who played a part in achieving what he calls a sweet victory.

Speaking on behalf of the Parents Teachers Association, the school’s PTA Chairman, Prof. Samuel Oheneba Dornyo hinted that he was not fazed given their shaky start during the contest.  He was of the strong conviction that, they will win and that the PTA had offered all the necessary support to the contestants.

It was a joyous moment for the students and alumni of the school. They say that indeed, they are still ‘Seven a Living God’ and hoping to ‘Celebr8t’ the eighth next year.
