Ghana’s most popular sex therapist on radio and television and multiple international award winner Akumaa Mama Zimbi, known in private life as Joyce Akumaa Dongotey-Padi, has said that she is the pioneer of a relationship talk show on radio and TV in the country.
She made the statement at the just-ended RPT Awards where she won three awards including the Developmental Talk Show of The Year and the RTP Women Influencer Award.
Akumaa Mama Zimbi’s show, “Odo Ahomaso” has been airing on Adom FM for the past two decades.
Zimbi’s “Odo Ahomaso” brings together outstanding personalities, seasoned motivational speakers and well-experienced speakers on marriage, love and sex to teach, discuss and also solve related issues. The program is very engaging, informative, and educative.
Explicit contents are shown and discussed which could seduce or get viewers to arouse as well, so viewer discretion is always advised. Even though it is a program for the mature, the presentation is youthfully backed with real-life experiences.
It is very motivational and involving. The show also projects the philosophy that sex is an exclusive right for only married couples, and therefore it preaches No Marriage No Sex.
Akumaa is also the Founder and Executive Director of Mama Zimbi Foundation (MZF), a non-governmental organization that seeks to empower and support widows through its Widows Alliance Network (WANE) project, and also involve in the issues of adolescents (Adolescents Sexual Reproductive Health).
